Olivia Palermo, ambassador for Pikolinos’ Maasai project, had the leading role at the event for presenting the collection. Along with William Kikanae, Maasai community leader and representative for the ADCAM Mara Vision Project, she presented to the media the project that has, for the last five years, been successfully improving the quality of life of the tribe.
Juan Manuel Perán, the Vice President of Pikolinos, also welcomed members of the media, bloggers and celebrities from the world of fashion who did not want to miss out on the Maasai event in Shanghai.
During each of their speeches, Olivia Palermo, William Kikanae and Juan Manuel Perán all highlighted the importance of corporate social responsibility and the support for sustainable fashion with projects of this caliber. What is more, they were visibly proud and moved to have been able to make the motto of the Maasai Project a reality: A new world is possible.
Likewise, Mr. Chen, representative for Harson Group, expressed his excitement for the project and declared that he was thrilled to be able to rely upon the Spanish company Pikolinos to bring the essence and spirit of the Mediterranean to China.
