Pikolinos and ADCAM

Today we are going to talk to you about ADCAM (Association for Development, Alternative Trade and Microcredit), the organisation with which we cooperate in the Maasai Project.

ADCAM is an association aimed at promoting social projects throughout the world. It works in the fields of education, women empowerment, microcredit and health. The projects carried out by ADCAM provide for education and healthcare as they are deemed crucial dimensions to be improved wherever the association operates.

ADCAM is most active in the field of women empowerment and microcredits by actively supporting producer cooperatives established in developing countries, where women, after having the opportunity to learn a trade, are offered job opportunities through access to microcredit schemes. In particular, ADCAM works hard to open trade routes to northern countries in such a way as to guarantee the sustainability of the progress achieved.

For its activities conducted in Kenya they have the direct support of the Maasai leader, William Kikanae, who first requested help from our association and has shown a high degree of commitment and seriousness when working to improve the current situation of the Maasai people. In addition, this year they have signed a cooperation agreement with the Kenyan CREAW (Centre of Research, Education and Awareness) organisation, which will contribute its experience and enable the project to expand to other parts of Kenya.
